PriMus – Doing a Doctorate at the Museum

Supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Leuphana University of Lüneburg conducted an interdisciplinary program with six museums in the Hamburg metropolitan region. The aim was to install a museum-related training module that combines working on a doctorate with contents of a research-based museum education. In our house, research assistant Fumi Takayanagi worked on the topic “Continuity and Change of Material Culture in the Province of Dalarna (Sweden)”. It was based on the museum’s extensive Swedish collection.
