When The Leaves Speak
In her Zwischenraum presentation, the Pakistani artist Farrah Mahmood Rana allows nature itself to become the storyteller. Drawing on the tradition of South Asian miniature painting, her intricate works on hand-prepared wasli paper address climate change as both an ecological and an emotional crisis. Symbols such as trees and lotus flowers represent vulnerability, resilience, and hope. The accompanying workshop offers an introduction to the techniques of miniature painting and invites participants to engage with the artistic language of the Pakistani artist through hands-on practice and exchange.
