Healing Slavery in the Netherlands. Ancestral presences, decolonial approaches
The talk explores the afterlives of slavery in the Netherlands, and African-Dutch strategies of healing. Focusing on the role of ancestors, it examines how healing unfolds at the intersections of art, cultural heritage, archives, and the sacred. It argues that decolonial approaches to healing must engage with these interconnected dimensions.
