Kente cloths are among the best-known textiles from Ghana and consist of hand-woven ribbons that are sewn together. The traditional art of weaving is continuously changing through innovation. Nana Kwaku Duah II, the designer of the fabric, initiated a new trend by integrating computer-generated patterns into his magnificent kentes. After the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, appeared in a kente of this style at his inauguration in January 2017, he started a new trend, which the Asantehene in Kumasi and other kings immediately adopted.
