Künstler Kelvin Haizel und Kurator Gabriel Schimmeroth sprechen über ihre Ausstellung „Archiv der Erfahrungen“
Betritt man den Ausstellungsraum des „Archiv der Erfahrungen“ blickt man auf eine große Glasvitrine, die von einem roten Lichtschimmer umgeben ist. In das Rotlicht getaucht finden sich die Negative des Fotoalbums aus dem Jahr 1868, das im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht. Am 01. Juli 2022 laden Kelvin Haizel und Gabriel Schimmeroth interessierte Besucher:innen dazu ein, die Glasvitrine gemeinsam zu betreten und aus ihr einen Raum des Austauschs zu machen. Im Mittelpunkt des Gesprächs steht die Installation „Das Negativ-Album“. Es werden die zentralen Leitideen diskutiert und der Raum für Fragen geöffnet.
Kelvin Haizel (*1987) ist derzeit Doktorand am KNUST College of Art in Kumasi und Mitglied der Kollektive blaxTARLINES KUMASI und Exit Frame. Er ist ein ghanaischer Künstler, dessen Bildexperimente über das Visuelle hinausgehen und auch klangliche und haptische Formen umfassen.

Artist Kelvin Haizel and curator Gabriel Schimmeroth talk about their exhibition „Archive of Experiences“.
Entering the exhibition space of the „Archive of Experiences“, visitors look at a large glass showcase surrounded by a glimmer of red light. Immersed in the red light one finds the negatives of the photo album from 1868, which is the center of the exhibition. On July 01, 2022, Kelvin Haizel and Gabriel Schimmeroth invite interested visitors to enter the showcase together and turn it into a space of exchange. The focus of the conversation will be on the installation „The Negative Album“. Central ideas will be discussed and the space will be opened for questions.
Kelvin Haizel (b. 1987) is currently a PhD student at KNUST College of Art in Kumasi and a member of the blaxTARLINES KUMASI and Exit Frame collectives. He is a Ghanaian artist whose visual experiments go beyond the visual to include sonic and haptic forms.
