VOICES ist der führende nationale Chor Neuseelands. Er tritt regelmäßig bei Festivals auf, arbeitet mit Orchestern und Künstlern zusammen und tourt international. Auf seiner diesjährigen Europa-Tournee gibt der Chor zwei exklusive Konzerte im MARKK. In seinen Programmen verbindet der Chor klassisches Repertoire mit Musik und Klängen aus Aotearoa / Neuseeland und dem pazifischen Raum.

Das Konzert findet im Rahmen des PHŒNiX.festival – koloniale Interferenzen statt. Unter dem diesjährigen Motto „Koloniale Interferenzen“ werden die koloniale Vergangenheit Hamburgs, Deutschlands und Europas beleuchtet. Das PHOENIX festival ist an verschiedenen Spielorten in Hamburg präsent. 7 Monate Festival!

 In Kooperation mit dem einhornkollektiv UG Agentur für kulturelle Transformation.

Die Veranstaltung findet im Großen Hörsaal statt.

VOICES is New Zealand’s leading national choir. It performs regularly at festivals, collaborates with orchestras and artists, and tours internationally. On this year’s European tour, the choir will give two exclusive concerts at MARKK. In its programmes, the choir combines classical repertoire with music and sounds from Aotearoa/New Zealand and the Pacific region.

The concert is part of the PHŒNiX.festival – colonial interferences. Under this year’s motto ‘Colonial Interferences’, the colonial past of Hamburg, Germany and Europe will be examined. The PHOENIX festival will be held at various venues in Hamburg. Seven months of festival!
