In dem Gespräch mit Altynai Osmoeva werden wir gemeinsam über ihre künstlerische Arbeit in der Ausstellung „Jurte Jetzt!” sprechen. Die Installation besteht aus einem kreisförmigen kirgisischen Filzteppich, der an den runden Raum einer Jurte erinnert. Sie ist ein zentrales Element der Ausstellung und nimmt die kirgisische Textilkunst und Jurtenstrukturen zum Ausgangspunkt kritischer Reflexionen. Wir fragen danach, wie die Künstlerin zeitgenössische Kunst und traditionelles Handwerk verbindet.

Die Veranstaltung findet im Zwischenraum und in der Ausstellung statt.

During the conversation with Altynai Osmoeva, we will talk about her artistic contribution to the exhibition „Yurt Now!“. The installation consists of a circular Kyrgyz felt carpet that is reminiscent of the round space of a yurt. It is a central element of the exhibition and takes Kyrgyz textile art and yurt structures as a starting point for critical reflection. We will ask how the artist combines contemporary art and traditional craftsmanship.

The event will take place in the Zwischenraum and in the exhibition.
